The Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton is looking for some firehose. They are using old firehoses for webbing in the monkey cages. The firehose must be clean. If you have outdated, creaked or just any that is laying around the fire house that your fire department can’t use any more and you would like to donate it. Please call Tom at 701-899-0150.

The North Dakota Firefighter’s Association is pleased to inform the Association Members that West Fargo will be hosting the Annual State Convention on June 7 & 8th , 2013. As you know, it was not decided at State Convention in Valley City, 2010; therefore according to the Constitution and By-Laws of the Association in Article VI, Section 1, the Executive Board “may select the place of the Annual State Convention should the delegates assembled fail to do so”. West Fargo had written a formal letter conveying that they would like to host and the Executive Board voted at their August Board Meeting to approve this opportunity for the Annual State Convention.

until 1:15 PM, September 22, 2010, for the AS-IS sale of (1) 1974 LaFrance Pumper
Fire Truck.
The 1974 LaFrance Pumper Fire Truck has a 8V71 Detroit Diesel Engine; 21,131 Odometer
Miles; 2074 Unit Hours; 4 Speed Automatic Transmission; 1500 GPM Fire Pump; and Fire
Hose Reel.
Copies of the bid forms may be obtained upon request from the office of the City
Administrator, 102 3rd Ave. SE, or the office of the Fire Chief, 209 2nd Ave. NW.
Each bid must be accompanied by the bidders bond, certified check, cashier’s check, or cash in
the amount of 5% of the bid, made payable to the City of Jamestown. The bidder shall note on
the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid, the words, BID FOR THE AS-IS SALE
OF (1) 1974 LAFRANCE PUMPER FIRE TRUCK.
The City Council of the City of Jamestown, North Dakota, reserves the right to reject any or all
bids, to waive any irregularities, and to hold all bids until the next regularly scheduled council
meeting.
This training is for any first responder including law enforcement, paramedics, or fire fighters. Topics will include wandering, driving, abuse and nelglect and firearms and how to approach these subjects with someone with dementia.
NDFA is now taking registrations for the 2010 Instructor’s Conference. This conference will be held Oct 29-31, 2010 at the Doublewood Inn in Bismarck, North Dakota. Registration is $25.00 per registrant which includes conference attendance, Friday evening social, and Saturday evening banquet. Guests of registrants are welcome to attend social and banquet for $16.00 per guest.
This conference is open to all members of NDFA who are currently Instructors, those who wish to become Instructors, and/or anyone who wishes to improve their ability to instruct within their own department.
The Doublewood Inn has blocked out a number of rooms for this weekend at the state rate of $63.00 single occupancy or $83.00 double. Register early to reserve your room(s).
